Mission Statement

Build a B.A.S.E. on fundamental instruction by which kids of all ages can start or strengthen foundations from which to grow. B.A.S.E. UP seeks to provide guidance and training with hands on leadership. For it is only through that type of commitment that real progress occurs. Training provides the knowledge, which in turn supplies the confidence required to succeed in whatever endeavor one chooses.

Company History

Baseup.org has been running Fundamental Skills clinics for over 7 years. We have come to realize, over the years, that there is no better way to teach B.A.S.E. building skills then through repetition. Thus, our instructional format is simple

INFORM & EXPLAIN

INSTRUCT & DEMONSTRATE

IMITATE & MOTIVATE

REPEAT – REPEAT – REPEAT

REPEAT – REPEAT – REPEAT

REPEAT – REPEAT – REPEAT

That’s it – no more. Practice – Practice – Practice is great, but proper practice is better. That is what has taken us to the next level – product development. We are currently designing products under a logo series titled “Outside the Box”. There will be a line of products geared towards strength training and skills development. Our first of this line is highlighted on our home page - the “Power Grip Wrap”. The newest of these products is our newly training ball. It's light weight ball designed to take a beating. Hit after to hit - swing after to swing. Guaranteed to last or you money back. Want to hear more - email me direct bobesquerra@baseup.org.

Below is a short clip of our instructors.

Our Owner - Bob Esquerra

I have played baseball for much of my life. I started, much like every other kid, in Little League Baseball. I went through the normal progression of the game and ended by playing Collegiate Baseball for United States International University.

Bob EsquerraI wasn’t lucky enough to play at higher levels, but really enjoyed the journey. I am still playing at the age of 45 and have been coaching now for over 13 years. I began Baseup.org 10 years ago to provide instruction and teach kids how fun this game really can be. Also that the game of baseball has a lot to teach in and of itself. That it is great way to learn some important life lessons without the pain normally associated with that learning process. Here are just a few of those lessons: being ethical, positive, supportive, fair, hard working, persistent, courageous, and most of all - the art of failing gracefully. Of course that is much easier to say then it is to take. Losing / failing, I think, is hard to take at any age, so needless to say - I am still learning. One of Baseup.org’s many base building concepts is “You never stop learning”. Bob Esquerra
